Daylight Savings time end Sunday at 2:00 A.M.

Daylight Savings Time ends at Two A.M. Sunday Morning. Listeners are reminded to set your clocks back Saturday night at you go to bed. The good news in theory is you could get an extra hour of sleep. Again we "Fall Back" Sunday morning at 2:00 A.M.

Sheriff`s Department Haunted House packs em in.

Staffers from the office of Kossuth County Sheriff Paul Gronbach took time out to host a Trick or Treat Haunted House at a location near Algona High School yesterday. Organizer Tammy Eden who dressed up an a "I Dream of Jeannie" outfit from the t-v show of the 1960`s says the Haunted House held in a qounset building on Sample Street allowed more space and could be made more scary then the Kossuth County Jail which has been used in the past. Eden says treat bags were given out along with candy and glow in the dark bracelets. Staffers used their own money to buy candy, trinkets, costumes and decorations and played the characters.

Opening night for Fiddler on the Roof.

The Theatre Students of Algona High School present the first of three productions of the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" tonight at seven P.M. at O.B. Laing Middle School Auditorium. Meanwhile the Theatre Students at Bishop Garrigan are set to present their fall play a musical called "Bye Bye Birdie" tomorrow and Saturday nights at 7:30 P.M. at the Friedmann Auditorium on the Bishop Garrigan campus.

Latham`s Traveling Help Desk in Algona tomorrow.

The Traveling help desk of Iowa Congressman Tom Latham will make a stop in Algona tomorrow. A Latham staffer will be at the Algona Public Library From 9:30 A,M. to 10:30 A.M. tomorrow. The Traveling help desk stops off in Algona each month.

Stacy Goepel trial continues in Waverly.

The trial of the former Public Works Director for the City of Britt continues in Bremer County. 33 year old Tracy Goepel is charged with two felony counts of felonious misconduct in office, he was terminated earlier this year back in June. Goepel is accused of falsifying a water treatment certification document.

Leland man killed in pedestrian/vehicle accident.

A Leland man was killed and a Buffalo Center resident was hurt in an accident four miles north of Leland on U-S Highway 69 yesterday morning. State Trooper D-J Knutsen identifies The victim as 79 year old Charles Stanley Albertson who was apparently crossing the road retrieving mail from his mailbox when he was struck by a white colored 1998 Chrysler Concorde. injured in the accident was 44 year old Jesusa Aurora Christians who was taken to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa by Forest City ambulance. Trooper Knutsen says the accident remains under investigation.

Two vehicle accident near the Amercinn.

The Algona Police Department reports a two vehicle accident on U-S 18 West. Algona Police Officer Kendall Pals identifies The drivers as 37 year old Jesus Campos Martinez of Des Moines and 16 year old Christina Ann Richter of Bancroft. According to an accident report driver Martinez was going west on U-S 18 trying to make a left turn in the parking lot of the Amercinn in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck, when he was rearended by a 2000 Dodge Durango driven by Richter. Pals says there was an estimated 85-hundred dollars damage between the two vehicles involved. Neither driver apparently was seriously hurt.
