Internet outage for Amberwaves customers.
An internet outage yesterday impacted some two-thousand customers of Amberwaves Communications in the area. Mike Rusch of Amberwaves says the outage is blamed on a construction crew that cut a fiber optics line in southern Minnesota. Rusch says the outage impacted more than 50 internet service providers in this region of the midwest. He says service was restored at 8:50 P.M. He also says repairs were made cautious by the fiber optics line cut being near a gas line. Rusch says customers can get antsy when their service is interrupted, he says the internet has become a very personal thing at home and the workplace.
