Five Democratic Parties in the region held a candidates forum at the Wild Rose Casino at Emmetsburg. The event was well attended at a Ballroom on the upper level of the casino. Iowa State Senate President Jack Kibbie emceed numerous speakers including:
Iowa State Secretary of State Mike Mauro
U-S Senator Christopher Dodd
U-S Seantor Joe Biden
Governor Bill Richardson
U-S Senator Hillary Clinton
The audience paid 10 dollars apiece to sit and listen to the speakers and munch on appetizers.
