Two vehicle acccident in Algona Wednesday morning.

There was a two vehicle accident this morning in Algona at Phillips and Chubb Streets. Algona Police Officer Craig Barslou in an accident report identifies the drivers as 32 year old Cassi Schmidt of Algona driving a 1999 Dodge Durango and 44 year old Sandra Von Bank of rural Bode who was driving a 2003 Ford pick up truck. The accident report says Von Bank was going north and Schmitt was trying to make a left turn onto Phillips and head south. A collision did occur and neither driver was seriously hurt. Schmitt was cited for “Failure To Obey a Stop or Yield Sign”. Some 16-hundred dollars in estimated damage to the two vehicles involved.
