A man who is a native of Algona was appointed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Matthew Johnson is the 40th person named to the Court and graduated from Algona High School in 1981 and is an alumnus of Saint Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota. Johnson in the past served on the Board of Directors of Iowa State Bank and Mid-Iowa Bancshares in Algona.
