Trial ends at Kossuth County Courthouse.

A trial has concluded in Kossuth County Court with a guilty verdict. The case was the State of Iowa versus
Jonathan Hanig on a charge of O-W-I Second Offense. The two day trial concluded Wednesday.
The prosecution which was represented by Kossuth County Attorney Todd Holmes and Assistant County Attorney Jessica Reynolds called one witness while the Defense represented by Attorney Eldon Winkel called three witnesses. Hanig was originally pulled over and charged in Bancroft proper, no breath test was administered during the arrest. The case was heard by District Judge Don E.Courtney. a 12 person jury rendered the guilty verdict Wednesday afternoon at the Kossuth County Courthouse.
Hanig is free on bond and awaits a sentencing date.
He could received a prison term of two years as a result of the conviction.
