Layoffs planned for Winnebago Industries plants.

Winnebago Industries in Forest City will be laying off some 200 to 225 workers. The company confirmed the layoffs yesterday in a conference call with industry analysts discussing the retirement of Chief Executive Officer Bruce Hertzke. Company officials say the recreation vehicle industry continues to see a downturn. The last round of layoffs was three years ago. The company employs 32-hundred workers at Forest City, Charles City and Hampton.
