Corwith driver and passengers escape serious injury in a one car accident.

A 20 year old Corwith man and two passengers escaped serious injury after a one vehicle accident involving a deer on Kossuth County Road P-60 just south of County Road B-63. Kossuth County Sheriff`s Deputy Charles Robinson identifies the driver as Gerald Otto Awe who was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. According to the accident report driver Awe was going south on P-60 and swerved to avoid the deer and ended up going into the west ditch and rolling the vehicle. Passengers in the Awe vehicle are indentified as 16 year old Brittany Wiseman of Luverne, and 16 year old Holly Cunningham of Wesley. Deputy Robinson says the driver and the passengers were spared serious injury because they were seatbelted. Eight-thousand dollars in estimated damage to the Awe vehicle. No citations were issued.
