Amu`s Cable Programing Committee meets in quarterly session.

Algona Municipal Utilities Cable Programing Committee held a quarterly meeting at A-M-U headquarters in Algona. AMU’s Bob Jennings told the Committee that because Mediacom has not reached a settlement with the Big Ten Network some numbers have increased. Also the recently added National Geographic Channell is receiving rave reviews from local cable customers. The Committee gave a recommendation to begin a preliminary look at adding a tier of sports channels which would be an optional buy for customers and would be a series of newer sports channels and not the mainstream channels many customers already receive. Carl Westling chaired the meeting, the Committee turns its findings over to the full AMU Board of Trustees who make the formal decision making.
