A windy day today.

You might want to put rocks in your pockets today as a wind advisory will be in effect. Northwest winds of 25 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour. The winds will subside around sunset which is around five P-M. The wind advisory will be in effect for all of the counties of our listening area. Be especially careful if you are driving a high profile vehicle, again the winds will be out of the northwest. So far today downtown Algona has had a peak wind gust of 19 miles per hour, at Klga we have had a peak wind gust of 22 miles per hour out of the west.
