Small fire contained at the Snap On Tools Plant.

The Algona Fire Department was called out to the Snap-On Tools Plant last night at 6:25pm. Algona Fire Chief Chuck Bell says the filtering system inside the paint booth was where the fire began. Chief Bells says in the heavy smoke, the 19 volunteer firefighters were able to locate it and were able to keep it contained. There were no injuries while the firefighters were on scene for an hour and a half. Snap-On spokesman Lee Gunderson says despite the fire, the work shifts of the day went on without interruption.
