Algona Fire Chief Chuck Bell reminds people with the change over back to Central Standard time, to check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the home and business place. Chief Bell says Fire Departments all over the land are urging people to check the batteries in smoke and c-o-2 detectors with the "falling back" into standard from daylight time.
