The Algona City Council approved a five thousand dollar contribution to the 150th
edition of the Kossuth County Fair at the latest meeting at City Hall.
Liz Hurlburt and Rick Klien members of the Kossuth County Fairboard spoke to Council
and said they had fundraiser efforts underway and that The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors had been providing matching funds for the 150th Committees efforts.
Other happenings at the Council meeting, the Algona Fire Department was given permission to hold a New Year`s style fireworks show the evening of December 30th at 7-PM.
Algona Fire Chief Chuck Bell says the location will be the field next to Jack`s OK Tire Service.
The Kossuth County Drift Skippers snowmobiling organization was given permission to do some trail grooming within the city limits of Algona.
