The Regional Chapter of The American Red Cross is offering some Red Cross related Christmas gifts this Holiday Season. Communications Director Bill Campbell says the Red Cross is offering a compact First Aid Kit one can store in the glove box for five dollars, he says a more complete kit that would store in a fanny pack retails for 10 dollars, Campbell says an Emergency Crank Radio is very popular, it features AM/FM and TV audio and has seven National Weather Service Frequencies, it has an alarm function, and enables the charging of cell phones,
Campbell says the device is perfect for emergency situations as power is generated through a hand crank.
He says radio retails for 45 dollars; the items are available through the Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross located at Gateway North in Spencer at 1900 North Grand, Suite D-3. Office hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday; the toll free number is 1-888-292-1574.
