The Vilsacks visit Algona

Former Governor Tom Vilsack and former First Lady Christy Vilsack visited Algona yesterday and the Family Table Restaurant to educate people about the caucus process. Governor Vilsack tells our KLGA blog that the caucus process is not as complicated as people think, all it takes is finding out when and where and show up. The Vilsacks encourage taking a buddy to the caucus to ensure that there will be at least one friendly face on hand to help lead the way.
Governor Vilsack tells us that they have been very busy since leaving office and residence at Terrace Hill in Des Moines. He says he is teaching at both Drake and Iowa State and also practicing law. He says Christy will be making announcement about an opportunity for herself shortly after the first of the new year. The Vilsacks divide their time between Des Moines and their hometown of Mount Pleasant. Caucus night is December third, the websites of both the Democratic and Republican Parties have listings of the caucus locations.
