According to the State Department of Transporation Web Site: U-S 169 is partially covered with a mix of snow, slush and ice from the Webster County Line all the way up to the Minnesota state line. U-S 18 both east and west is described as having normal winter time driving conditions.
Across the border in Minnesota driving conditions are described as difficult according to the website maintained by the Minnesota State Department of Transportation.
