Operation Kemna

For over three years, “Operation Kemna, Iowa Cares” has been paying for postage and sending care packages to our local deployed soldiers. Each year, Snap-on Tools of Algona has donated a roll cab for the Kemna employees to raffle off as a fundraiser to keep sending those packages. Spokeswoman Pam Ridner says they are sending packages to Algona and Fort Dodge soldiers, totaling up to 93 individuals and costing about 15 hundred dollars each time a package is sent. And the fundraiser will conclude this Friday with the drawing for the Snap-on Tools roll cab, with a broadcast on KLGA. Ridner says that while fundraising happens once a year, our soldiers need to be remembered all the time. Donations of funds or items are always welcome. Contact Pam at Kemna’s at 295-2006 for more information. The Snap-on roll cab drawing for “Operation Kemna, Iowa Cares” is Friday morning.
