Rodman Fire Department gets grant money.

The Volunteer Fire Chief of Rodman says he and the 12 individuals that comprise the Rodman Volunteer Fire Department are thrilled with the news of a 62-thousand-358-dollar grant from the Assistance to Firefighters Program from the U-S Department of Homeland Security.
Paul Hunter is Volunteer Fire Chief of Rodman and says the plan is to purchase some airtanks for interior firefighting purposes along with a fill station, turnout gear and some hoses. Hunter who is a certified state firefighter safety trainer says the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program is the only way to procure funds to buy equipment upgrades, he says fire equipment is not cheap and the usual fundraising methods don`t always do the trick. The word of the grant money for the Rodman Fire Department was received from the office of U-S Senator Tom Harkin.
