Board of Supervisor meeting highlights...

The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors held
their weekly meeting at the Courthouse
on Tuesday. County Auditor Jo Ann Bormann
says the Supervisors worked through 13 items
on their agenda. During the Public Discussion
Time, Kossuth County Resident Scott Moeller
spoke to the Board about the lack of
action last week on a request to appeal
a hog confinement construction permit
to the Environmental Protection Commission
for an operation in Irvington Township
near his home. Moeller spoke to the Board
for some 25 minutes, he asked questions
and the Board tried to answer them.
Both a request to send the proposal to
the Epc and a request to not send the
proposal to the Epc died for lack of
a second to the motions.
In other happenings the Board held a
public hearing about another Hog
Confinement proposal for section
27 of Riverdale Township. It was also
made known that the Kossuth County
Fairboard would like to use some of the
money allotted by the County to develop
a web page, it was decided to to put the
request on a future Board of Supervisors Agenda.
