Michelle Obama visits Algona.

The Wife of Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, made a campaign appearance in Algona yesterday afternoon. Obama visited the Farnam home at 706 North Thorington Street. Obama was in a van/motorcycle accident near Hampton a few weeks back. This was her first visit to Algona, her husband visited Algona earlier this year and appeared at Algona High School. Obama said her focus was on Barack Obama the real guy. She touted the strength of her husband and said he would provide the type of leadership the country needs right now. Obama also made appearances in Eagle Grove and Mason City yesterday.
