Flu Clinic update from K-R-H-C!

In news from the Community Health Department at Kossuth Regional Health Center: Organizner Mary Hilbert says the flu vaccine clinic originally scheduled for October 24 at the Algona Family YMCA will be postponed until Thursday, November 1, from 3 to 6 p.m. to allow for the arrival of the flu mist. Hilbert says the FluMist, a popular choice amongst healthy people between two and 49 years of age, is unavailable until then due to a shipment delay. She says plenty of traditional flu shots are available at Kossuth Regional Health Center. Hilbert says they had a great response to a flu clinic at Algona High School over the weekend, with more than 650 people getting vaccinated, she says they hope to catch a lot of families with school-aged kids at the YMCA flu clinic, since they tend to be at the greatest risk for getting influenza during the peak season.
