The Kossuth County Fairboard will meet in monthly
session at the Iowa State Extension Headquarters in
Algona this evening at 7:30 P.M. Tom Henry is
Fairboard President and will preside over the
meeting. Fairboard member Liz Hurlburt of
Algona says the Fairboard is hoping to use
some of the matching funds allotted by
Kossuth County to start up a website
about the Fair. The dates for next summers
Kossuth County Fair have been set, the Fair
will run July 27th to August 3rd, which marks
the 150th Anniversary of the Fair. Also on the
agenda tonight the Methodist Men`s Club
which operates the Algona Nativity Scene on
the Fairgrounds wants to build a public bathroom
because of the many visitors there, they are willing
to build and pay and need permission from the
Fairboard to hook up to the plumbing lines.
The Fairboard is expected to pick the winning entry in the
tee shirt design contest which drew as many as 40 responses.
