Bomb threat discovered at AHS!!!!!

Late in the afternoon yesterday a bomb threat was discovered in a restroom at Algona High School. Police Chief Kevin Bangart says the building was evacuated, Matt the bomb sniffing dog was utilized and trace evidence was obtained at the scene. Chief Bangart says Police and School officials have no reason to believe that any of the other buildings in the district are affected in any way, he says a uniformed officer will be on hand at AHS throughout the day today. Chief Bangart says school will be in session today, however there is no A-M weightlifting, all state
practice or anatomy class at AHS this morning, the building will open at 8-AM and students will be allowed to enter through the high school office. No Senior open campus or open noon hour today, students will need to bring a sack lunch or eat lunch at school. Chief Bangart emphasized that there was no evidence of a bomb from the physical search and the search by Matt the bomb sniffing dog.
