River Flood Warnings have been issued for the
East Fork and the West Fork of the Des Moines
River. The National Weather Service is expecting
the East Fork of the Des Moines River to crest
Thursday and 15 and a half feet and the
West Fork of the Des Moines River is expected
to crest on Wednesday at Eight-point-Nine-feet.
Flood stage at Algona is 14 feet and flood
stage at Humboldt is Eight feet.
For Algona this is the third such flood warning
issued in recent weeks.
