Ruthven man sentenced to federal prison

A Ruthven man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison for downloading child pornography. United States Attorney Matt Dummermuth says that 49 year old Jeffery Dean Fieseler received the prison term after a July 17th guilty plea to receipt and possession of child pornography. At the guilty plea, Fieseler admitted he downloaded images of child porn from the Internet in August 2006. He also admitted to possessing the porn on his computer in January 2007. Fieseler was sentenced in Sioux City by United States District Court Judge Mark W Bennett. He was sentenced to 151 months imprisonment. A special assessment of 200 dollars was imposed. He must also serve a 10 year term of supervised release after the prison term. There is no parole in the federal system. Fieseler is being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until he can be transported to a federal prison.
