Fire Prevention Week is being observed this week.
Klga News had a chance to visit with Algona Fire Chief
Chuck Bell who says the emphasis will be on a project
called the acronym "Operation Edith". Bell says "Edith"
stands for exit drill in the home, Bell says he would
like families to formulate and execute a plan to
escape the family residence in the event of fire.
Chief Bell says he and his volunteer fire crews will
take to the Algona streets tomorrow night
to call attention to the importance of "Operation
Edith".
